Climbing in Dalkey Quarry
Today we went with a couple of friends from the Trinity Climbing Club to a quarry south of Dublin. It is actually not much of an quarry, just a smaller hill/mountain blown up to make the nearby harbor, but it does have some excellent climbing routes.

Stephen starts the day by leading "Street Fighter"

And Stephen actually takes a fall - but takes the whole experience with a laugh, and is quickly at it again

But the fear sets in just below the top

We setup a very secure and redundant top rope

I have a go at Street Fighter

Which is rather easy with a top rope

Søren on Street Fighter

Look at him - so happy

Katie had some more trouble as she is shorter then us Vikings

But she managed just fine

I attempt to climb Eowyen

Which is a vertical wall with only tiny tiny little holds

So I had to fight for every single centimeter

Using only the tip of my fingers

And focus all the way

Gotcha!

Then for the final part of Eowyen

Phew, this is without doubt *the* most difficult *and* gratifying climb I have ever done!

Absolutely beautiful surroundings - as always.

Stephen leading Paradise Lost

We setup a top belay and all have a go at the rather easy Paradise Lost
